Videos & uploads

Studio → Videos lists everything on your channel: uploads and saved past streams alike.

Getting upload access

Live streaming is open to everyone, but uploading videos is granted per user.

If you don’t have it, the Upload page shows a Request access panel. You’ll submit:

• Which capability you want (uploading, streaming, or both — only the ones you’re missing are offered).
• Where you already have an audience — one to ten entries, each with a platform, a link, and a rough audience size. At least one working link is required.
• Optionally, why you’re asking.
• Agreement to the Acceptable Use Policy.

You’ll be notified by email when it’s reviewed. If it’s declined you can apply again after a cooldown, which the page tells you.

Uploading

1. Open Upload.
2. Choose your file — MP4, WebM, MKV or MOV.
3. Fill in the details while it uploads.

Limits. By default a video can be up to 2000 MB and you can upload 10 per day. Both can be raised for individual creators.

Caution

The page lets you start an upload larger than your limit, and the file is only rejected once it’s finished transferring. If you’re near the limit, check the file size before you start rather than waiting through a long upload.

Nothing is created until the upload finishes, so closing the tab halfway leaves no half-made video and doesn’t use up one of your daily uploads.

Editing a video

Open a video from Studio → Videos:

• Title (up to 255 characters) and description (up to 5000).
• Visibility — Public, Unlisted, or Private.
• Subscribers only — restrict to Tier 1, 2 or 3 subscribers. Only available once your channel can sell subscriptions.
• Server — associate the video with a game server so it appears on that server’s page.
• Content language — the language spoken in the video. Viewers filter by it.
• Mature content — flag it if it isn’t for everyone.
• Tags — up to 5.

Visibility can only be changed once processing is finished.

Thumbnails

• Upload thumbnail — PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 5 MB.
• Generate from frame — pick a point in the video and generate a thumbnail from it.
• Reset to default — go back to the automatically generated one.

Processing and approval

A video moves through these states, shown as a chip in the Videos list:

State	What it means
Processing	Being transcoded into multiple qualities.
Pending approval	Waiting for staff review before it can go public.
Ready	Live and watchable.
Failed	Processing failed — re-upload, or contact support with the video’s ID.
Deleted	Removed.

When approval applies. If the platform requires video approval, uploads land in Pending approval and a moderator releases them. Individual creators can be exempted from this. Automatic checks on your thumbnail and frames can also send a video for review even when approval is otherwise off.

Past streams are different. A stream saved automatically as a past video is always published without review.

Saved past streams

Past streams appear here too. Whether they’re saved at all is controlled in Account → Channel and by a platform-wide switch — see Saving past streams.

Streams shorter than 30 seconds are never saved.

Deleting

The video edit page has a delete action with a confirmation. Deleting is permanent, and takes the video’s comments, likes and watch history with it.
