Watching streams & videos

Metin2Stream has live streams and on-demand videos (past streams, uploads, and clips). You can watch most content without an account; signing in unlocks chat, following, history, comments, and subscriber perks.
Live streams
Open a channel that’s live, or browse the Live page. The player starts automatically.
- Quality: live plays at the quality the creator is broadcasting — a single quality, so there’s no live quality picker. Multiple quality options apply to on-demand videos.
- Latency: live playback aims to stay close to real time. On a weak or distant connection the player favours a stable picture over the lowest latency.
Rewinding a live stream (DVR)
When the platform has it enabled, you can rewind a live stream to catch something you missed — scrub back up to 2 hours, then press the LIVE button to jump back to the live edge. While you’re behind live, ←/→ seek 10 seconds, J/L seek 30 seconds, and Shift+L jumps straight to the live edge.
If you don’t see a scrub bar on a live stream, live rewind isn’t enabled here. It’s a platform-wide setting — individual creators can’t turn it on or off.
On-demand videos
Videos play on demand with a full scrub bar:
- Seek by clicking or dragging the progress bar. Hovering shows a preview thumbnail and timecode.
- Quality and playback speed (0.25× to 2×) are in the settings menu, and both are remembered for next time.
- Loop is in the settings menu, and applies to the video you’re watching.
- Your progress is remembered when you’re signed in — see Watch history.
Theatre mode, mini-player & Picture-in-Picture
- Theatre mode (T) widens the player across the page. Your choice is remembered.
- Mini-player: navigate away from a video or stream and it docks into a small player so you can keep watching while you explore. Go back to the same page and it pops back inline. On mobile, tap the mini-player to show its controls.
- Picture-in-Picture: pop the player into a floating window that stays on top of other apps.
Keyboard shortcuts
Shortcuts apply to the player you’re focused on, so typing in chat or a comment never triggers them.

Subscriber-only videos
A creator can restrict a video to their subscribers at a chosen tier. Gated videos show a Tier lock on their thumbnail, and opening one shows a panel telling you which tier unlocks it, with a subscribe button. See Subscriptions.
Live streams can’t be subscriber-gated — only on-demand videos.
Comments
On-demand videos have comments. Sign in to post, reply, and like. Replies nest up to three levels deep, and you can sort by Top or newest first. The video’s owner is notified of new top-level comments, and you’re notified when someone replies to you.
Private videos have no public comments; unlisted and public videos do.
Chat replay on past streams
A saved past stream keeps the chat that happened during it. Use Show chat replay on the video page to watch it play back in sync with the video — it follows your scrubbing. It’s read-only: you can’t post into a chat replay.
Uploaded videos that were never streamed have no chat replay.
