Chat commands

Type a slash command in the chat box (starting with /) to do things beyond sending a normal message. As you type /, an autocomplete menu suggests commands — and it only ever shows the commands you’re allowed to use in that channel.

Commands everyone can use

Command	What it does
/help	Lists the commands available to you in this channel.
/color <name or #hex>	Set your username colour in chat. Accepts named colours (e.g. Red, HotPink, DodgerBlue) or a hex code like #FF5733. /colour also works. Your colour is saved and applies on every channel.
/w <username> <message>	Send a private whisper to another user. /whisper also works.

Moderator commands

These appear only if you’re a moderator of the channel (or the broadcaster).

Chat modes

Command	What it does
/slow [seconds] / /slowoff	Slow mode on (default 30s) or off.
/followers [duration] / /followersoff	Followers-only mode on (with an optional minimum follow age, e.g. /followers 30m) or off. /followersonly also works.
/subscribers / /subscribersoff	Subscriber-only mode on or off. /subonly and /subonlyoff also work.
/emoteonly / /emoteonlyoff	Emote-only mode on or off.
/uniquechat / /uniquechatoff	Unique chat (blocks repeated/copy-paste messages) on or off. /r9k also works.

Moderating people

Command	What it does
/ban <username>	Permanently ban a user from the channel’s chat. An optional reason is shown to them.
/timeout <username> [duration]	Temporarily mute a user. Defaults to 10 minutes; accepts values like 60 (seconds), 10m, 1h, 1d, up to a maximum of 2 weeks.
/unban <username>	Lift a ban or timeout. /untimeout also works.
/clear	Clear the channel’s chat history.
/mods / /vips	List the channel’s moderators or VIPs.

Messages

Command	What it does
/announce <message>	Post a highlighted announcement to chat.
/shoutout <username>	Share another channel with a follow call-to-action. /so also works.
/pin <message> / /unpin	Pin a message to the top of chat, or remove the pin. Auto-unpins after 20 minutes by default.

Polls, predictions & giveaways

Command	What it does
/poll <question> / <option> / <option>	Start a poll, separating the question and options with /. Runs for 60 seconds.
/endpoll	End the poll early, keeping the result.
/deletepoll	Discard the poll and refund any bonus votes.
/prediction <title> / <outcome> / <outcome>	Start a prediction with a 2-minute betting window.
/lockprediction	Close betting without settling.
/giveaway <title> / <prize> / <points per ticket>	Start a giveaway, drawn manually, with a limit of 10 tickets per viewer.
/draw	Draw the winner(s).

Broadcaster commands

Only the channel owner can use these:

Command	What it does
/mod <username> / /unmod <username>	Promote or remove a channel moderator.
/vip <username> / /unvip <username>	Grant or remove VIP status.
/resolveprediction <outcome number>	Settle a prediction and pay out. Moderators deliberately can’t do this.
/cancelprediction	Cancel a prediction and refund every stake.
/reroll <winner number>	Replace one giveaway winner with a new draw.
/cancelgiveaway	Cancel a giveaway and refund every ticket.

Note

Every command is re-checked on the server when you run it, so the autocomplete list is just a convenience — you can’t use a command you’re not entitled to even if you type it out in full.

Channel commands (!)

Some channels run a chat bot with their own commands. Those start with ! instead of /, and they’re different in every channel — !discord, !server, !socials and so on are things the streamer wrote, not platform features.

Type ! and the same autocomplete appears, listing that channel’s commands. As with slash commands, you only see the ones you’re allowed to run.

The two prefixes are separate on purpose: a channel’s ! commands can never replace or shadow a moderator’s / commands.

A few things to expect:

• If you type an ! command the channel doesn’t have, nothing special happens — your message just posts as ordinary chat.
• Commands can have a cooldown, so running one twice in quick succession may only reply once.
• Some commands take a name, e.g. !hug @someone.

The bot itself can’t be banned or timed out and won’t appear when you type @, but moderators can delete its messages like anyone else’s.
