Payment methods on your channel

Viewers pay you through Stripe. Which methods they see depends on your region, the viewer’s region/device, and which methods your connected account supports.

What viewers can use

• Cards everywhere, plus card-backed wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link) on supported devices.
• Local methods for donations where eligible: MB WAY (PT), Bizum (ES), iDEAL (NL), Bancontact (BE), EPS (AT).

Most of these are requested automatically when your account is created. New methods appear for viewers without any action from you — with one important exception below.

Methods you must activate yourself

Some methods require you to activate them in your own Stripe (Express) dashboard — the platform requesting them isn’t enough for dashboard-managed accounts. The clearest example is Bizum: if Stripe shows “Activation by connected account required”, open your Stripe dashboard’s payment methods settings and enable it. Until then, Bizum won’t appear for viewers donating to you.

Apple Pay

Apple Pay on donations is enabled for you automatically (your channel’s domain is registered behind the scenes). Viewers still need a supported device/browser (Safari + a card in Wallet) for it to appear.

Note

You only ever offer methods that actually work for your account, so viewers never hit a dead end. If you expect a method and don’t see it, check your Stripe dashboard’s payment-method settings first.
