Playlists, Watch Later & likes

Three separate lists live in the left sidebar when you’re signed in: Playlists, Watch Later, and Liked Videos.

Watch Later

A single, personal bookmark list — the quickest way to park something you don’t have time for now.

• Save a video to it from the video’s save menu.
• Open it from the sidebar’s Watch Later.
• Remove items one at a time, or use Clear all to empty the list.

Watch Later is private and isn’t a playlist — you can’t share it or reorder it.

Playlists

Playlists are collections you build and can share.

Creating one

1. Open Playlists from the sidebar.
2. Select New Playlist.
3. Give it a title (up to 150 characters) and, optionally, a description.
4. Choose its visibility.

New playlists are Private by default.

Visibility

Visibility	Who can open it
Private	Only you. Anyone else gets a “not found” page.
Unlisted	Anyone with the link — it isn’t listed on your channel.
Public	Anyone, and it appears on your channel’s Playlists tab.

Note

Visibility controls the playlist, not the videos inside it. Someone opening your public playlist only ever sees the videos they are allowed to see — a private video in your list is simply invisible to them.

Adding, ordering & playing

• Add a video from its save menu. Adding the same video twice does nothing.
• On your own playlist, hover an item to reorder it up or down, or remove it.
• Play all starts at the first video and keeps the playlist alongside you.

Sharing

Select Share on a playlist to copy its link. The button is hidden on private playlists — make it Unlisted or Public first.

Editing & deleting

From the playlist page you can edit the title, description and visibility, or delete the playlist. Deleting a playlist never deletes the videos in it.

Liked videos

Liking a video (thumbs up on the video page) adds it to Liked Videos in the sidebar. Likes and dislikes are mutually exclusive — liking something you’d disliked switches it over.

To remove a video from this list, unlike it on the video’s own page; there’s no remove button on the list itself.

Note

The list only shows videos that are still public and available. If a creator makes a video private or deletes it, it quietly drops out of your liked list even though your like is still recorded.
