Alerts & OBS overlays

Metin2Stream gives you two browser-source overlays for your streaming software: donation alerts and a donation goal.

Getting your overlay URL

It’s not on the Alerts page

The overlay URLs live on Studio → Monetization, not Studio → Alerts. Alerts is where you style them; Monetization is where you get the link.

1. Open Studio → Monetization.
2. Copy the donation alert overlay URL, and the donation goal URL if you want that too.
3. In OBS: Sources → + → Browser, paste the URL, and size it to your scene.

Use Send Test Alert on the Monetization page to fire a sample €5 alert and check it looks right.

Your overlay URL is a secret

Anyone with the URL can display your alerts. Don’t show it on stream, and don’t paste it into a screenshot or a Discord channel. If it leaks, use Rotate Overlay Token — the old URL stops working immediately, and you’ll need to paste the new one into every browser source that used it.

Customising alerts

Studio → Alerts controls how an alert looks and sounds:

• Sound — upload an MP3, WAV or OGG, with a volume slider.
• Image — upload a PNG, JPEG, GIF or WebP.
• Text — font, plus colour and size for the donor’s name, the amount, and the message.
• Animation — how the alert enters and leaves (fade, slide, bounce, zoom) and how long it stays on screen.
• Minimum amount — donations below this don’t trigger an alert at all. The default is €2.00.
• Custom CSS — for full control of the layout.

Everything has a live preview, so you can see changes without going live.

Note

Alerts show the donor’s message as text. There’s no text-to-speech.

Amount tiers

You can make a big donation look different from a small one. Each tier is an amount threshold with its own label, sound, image, animation and duration — so a €50 tip can get its own fanfare.

How many tiers you get, and whether you can use custom assets, depends on your commission tier (see Monetization):

Donation goals

A goal is a progress bar your viewers can watch fill up.

Set it up in Studio → Monetization Settings under Donation Goal: give it a title, a target amount in euros, and optionally a deadline. You can have one active goal at a time, and you can edit or deactivate it whenever you like.

Progress appears on your Monetization dashboard and drives the /overlay/goals browser source.

Announcing donations elsewhere

Two more places a donation can show up, both configured in Studio → Monetization Settings:

• In chat — turn on “announce donations in chat”.
• In Discord — add a webhook URL for a channel of yours, and choose whether the announcement includes the donor’s name, the amount, and their message.

The Discord webhook is write-only: once saved, it’s never shown back to you. Use Remove Webhook to clear it.
